This 1/4" wide Type I break cord is manufactured to military specification MIL-T-5661, the same standard used by the U.S. Armed Forces. With a tensile strength of 80 pounds (355.8 N), this cotton webbing tape is engineered to break cleanly under a specific load, making it essential for static line parachute systems, single-closure containers, and military cargo heavy drop operations.
