Cutter Outdoorsman
Provides protection from mosquitoes, ticks, biting flies, gnats, chiggers, and fleas. This stick is great. Ever have a bottle of lotion repellent come open in your ruck? Don't worry about a spill again. It has a screw on cap and you can advance the stick by pushing the bottom. It works just like your deodorant. Compact size makes it perfect for backpacking, hiking or camping trips. It protects for up to 5 hours.

Avon's Skin So Soft
Avon – More than just Lotion! Why the hell do we advertise Avon on our web site? Not only is Avon popular with suburban housewives and your Granny, their Skin-So-Soft lotion actually doubles as the best mosquito repellent available. This product has been praised by magazines such as Outdoor Life and Field and Stream and even "Dear Abby." Avon did not originally manufacture this lotion as an insect repellent but now that the word is out, Avon has capitalized on the idea by creating a "Bug Guard PLUS" version of Skin So Soft. We think the original works just as well and may be a bit less expensive.
Some Skin-So-Soft in your pack serves several purposes – as a camouflage face paint remover (apply and then rinse with water) and of course, as a moisturizer. The only questionable issue with this product is the scent. It is pleasant but would not be good for hunters or campers in bear territory. On the other hand, if you’ve been out in the field or on the trail for days and days, a pleasant scent is actually a good thing.

Camo Compact
These compacts are available in three-, four-, or five-color compacts. The mirror is well needed when applying camo. If you get a Camo Compact with white, please don't use it unless you're in a snowy environment regardless of your skin color. We've had the case crack open inside our rucksacks and our LBVs. We therefore recommend keeping the compact in a plastic bag. You have to rub the colors around with your fingertips for awhile to warm it up and make it easier to apply. The colors are nicely muted and blend well with many natural environments. The green usually runs out before the other colors, which unfortunately makes the remaining colors almost useless. (See practical usage tip for product below.)

Camo Sticks
This is the same camo product supplied by the U.S. military and that is not always a good thing. Applying this camo stick can be likened to scrubbing your face with some old tire tread. You're likely to rub some skin off before you have a full face of camo paint. The sticks come in "Light Green & Sand," "Light Green & Loam," and "White & Loam". The most practical use is to heat up the Loam or Light Green and then pour them into your Camo Compact when you run out of green. They are much easier to apply that way. They are available in either plastic or metal tubes. Obviously you cannot heat up the plastic tube.

Hunter's Specialties Camo Tubes
These tubes come in brown, black, green, and gray and can be purchased as sets or individually. The product goes on much easier than the camo compact mentioned above, but there's no mirror. We recommend keeping a signal mirror with you and using it to apply your camo. We had problems when the cap came off of a tube inside an LBV and stained it. We therefore recommend keeping these tubes in a plastic bag also. The colors are too vibrant in our opinion and might actually draw attention more than providing camouflage. You be the judge. They do last a long time and as stated, can be purchased individually if you use more of one color than another.
